Instead of relying on a trigger or pulling motion, this release activates when you relax the muscles of the release forearm —creating a smoother, more natural shot that improves both accuracy and consistency.
Make a tight fist while drawing the bow. Anchor, aim and slowly relax the muscles in the release forearm. Feel the muscles in the forearm relax. Concentrate on this. Helps the shot process to be concentrating on relaxing instead of squeezing.

The twine attached to the connector can be untied from the rope or removed from the wrist strap. A separate 2-foot cord can then be tied to the twine, with a loop added to the end. This allows the shooter to draw the bow while another person pulls the loop, helping the archer experience a true surprise release. This technique can also help reduce target panic.

With only four main parts, the HSI: Relax Release’s design is deceptively simple.
- Head: The head holds the rod, spring, hook, and screw.

Beginner Edition
$50Crafted for performance and built to last, the head, handle, lock collar, and connector are precision 3D printed using durable carbon fiber material. The hook and rod are made from Delrin® acetal plastic — a high-strength, wear-resistant material trusted for demanding applications.
In testing, a release equipped with a Delrin hook and rod has exceeded 6,900 shots and is still performing flawlessly. Tough is an understatement.
The lightweight 3D printed handle provides a comfortable, secure feel in the hand, while also performing exceptionally well in cold-weather conditions for consistent comfort and control.
Hunter Edition
$200This edition features a precision-machined acetal plastic head designed for durability, smooth performance, and all-day comfort. The hook and rod are available in your choice of Delrin® acetal plastic or brass, allowing you to customize the feel and weight to match your shooting style.

Compared to the carbon fiber edition, this model offers a slightly heavier feel in the hand for shooters who prefer added weight and stability. It also performs exceptionally well in cold-weather conditions, maintaining comfort and reliability when temperatures drop.
Pro Edition
$300Built for shooters who want complete customization, this release offers nearly endless material combinations to create the exact feel you prefer. The head is available in either aluminum or brass, while the hook and rod can be configured in Delrin® acetal plastic, aluminum, brass, or 303 stainless steel.
Mixing materials allows you to fine-tune the release’s balance, weight, and overall shooting feel. For example, many shooters enjoy the smooth combination of a brass hook paired with a stainless steel rod. Every setup delivers its own unique response and handling characteristics, giving you the freedom to build a release that feels truly personalized to your style.
